A painted box with lock and key. Wide: 21 cm, high 12,5 cm, and deep 13 cm. Painted on four sides and on the lid with flowers on an orange background. With original lock and key. On the inside in pencil the date: "1850". Constructed with wooden pegs. In mint condition. This type of box was made exclusively in the German "Erzgebirge". The paint was made from natural plants.
