A 16th century matching knife and fork with delicately sculptured brass handles.

A knife and fork. Overall length 19,5 cm. Length of the handles 8,5 cm. Judging from the extensive decoration of the handles obviously the knife and fork belong together. Both are in mint condition. The fork has lost a small piece on one side. It is quite exceptional to find a pair of this refined decoration and age. The knife has an early blacksmiths touch mark. Most likely Dutch and dating back to the sixteenth century.
