A pair of extremely rare Dutch 17th C heavy brass church-bench candle sticks.

A pair of candle sticks. Height (with wooden foot) 18 cm. Diameter pan 12 cm. Height of actual candle stick including screw-end: 11 cm. Weight of each: 725 gram. This type of candle stick was used on a church bench. It was screwed in a hole in the bench. Its owner was usually well to do: he was allowed to drill a hole in probably his own bench. Moreover, he was most likely able to read. This pair is of exceptional heavy quality. The two candlesticks together are almost 1,5 kilogram. Probably Amsterdam around 1650.
