An oak schoolbox. Overall height 40 cm. With original handforged "butterfly" hinges. Decorated with a large flower in the middle and a smaller one below. The lid opens in the middle and shows a separate small compartment for writing materials. Shape, wood, construction and decoration are typical for Zeeland in the 18th C. In mint condition.
