A Delft blue tile. 13x13x1,2 cm. The tile shows an ostrich with a horseshoe in its beak. This symbolizes "vigilance", for if the bird falls asleep, the horseshoe will drop and wake him up. Superficial damage to the right upper corner. Holland, first half ot the seventeenth century.
