An late 16th bronze spout in the form of a birds head from a fountain in Alkmaar.

A bronze waterspout. Overall length 24 cm, diameter 4,5 cm. Weight 1,2 kg. The spout in the form of a birds head. Provenance: "De Drie Kronen", Luttik Oudorp 114 in Alkmaar. Possibly made in Alkmaar as well in the last half of the 16th C. A stunningly decorative and extremely rare object.
