An extremely rare set of four 18th C tiles with a Dutch colonial scene.

A tile picture. Measuring 22,5 x 17 cm. Consisting of four tiles (2 repaired) of manganese colour. The picture, in a metal frame, shows 2 barefoot girls carrying a basket with possibly fish on their head. In the background a man in a small boat is shown, most likely a fisherman. Eightteenth century tiles with colonial scenes are extremely rare.
