An 18th C. painted wooden serving tray from Zaandam.

375 €

An oval serving tray. Length 55 cm. Height 5,5 cm. The construction and paintwork are typical for the 18th C. folk-art produced in Zaandam. Probably these trays were made by coopers as the rim consists of 21 parts held together with four layers of willow tree shoots. The carvings of the two handles are unusual. Good condition.
