A "Hindelooper" footstove. High 17,5 cm, wide 21 cm, and deep 17 cm. Painted on all four sides with typical traditional Hindeloopen 18th C decorations. The inside is on all sides covered with sheet metal to protect the wood from the heat. With nevertheless signs of wear on the top and front. Extremely rare. Hindeloopen is a small town in Friesland, famous for its typical style of folk art.
