A rare mercury filled lactodensimeter as invented by Quevenne
A glass mercury filled lactodensimeter in its original round paper container. Overall length 21 cm. Inside the glass the handwritten text in black ink: " Lactodensimeter nach Quevenne" and "abgerahmt Rein" and "Nicht abgerahmt". Germany 19th C. Probably used in the cheese making trade.
