Two small painted schoolboxes, each with a childs name. High 22 cm, wide 16 cm and deep 11 cm. Both painted in imitation mahogany. On the lid the names "J.Dekker" and "E.te Wind". The small size is unusual. These boxes were used for personal belongings of the children and were fixed on a nail in the wall. Province of Noord-Holland, end 18th C.
