A knife in a leather sheath. Length of the knife and of the sheath 19,5 cm. The sheath is decorated with a tulip and above dated " 1776 ". The knife has silver mounts and is extensively decorated with mother of pearl. The knife has a blacksmiths touch mark. On the top of the handle a silver and mother of pearl inlay shows a sailing vessel at sea. The knife and sheath are in mint condition. An almost identical knife by the same maker is depicted on page 119 of the book "Europäisches Eszbestek" by Klaus Marquardt.
