A dental forceps. Length 11 cm. Lightly serrated beak. Both handles decorated with a brass stud. An exactly identical forceps is shown on page 51 in Elisabeth Bennions book "Antique Dental Instruments". The forceps on that page belongs to the Museum of the History of Science in Oxford and is dated around 1700. The forceps is in pristine condition with signs of use. It is extremely rare.
