A cooking pot. High 15 cm. Upper diameter 14 cm. The pot has three feet and is made of typical "Bergen op Zoom" earthenware. It is partly glazed in an attractive orange colour. Usually this type of pot was made of metal like bronze. In ceramic they are rare. The pot was at night placed in the hot ashes of the fire place and carrots, onions, potatoes and meat were inserted. The result was a nice warm breakfast the following morning. The pot is in mint condition. No damages, no repairs. Low Countries, 17th C.
