A boxwood elaborately decorated spectacle case made in Zeeland.

A boxwood spectacle case. Long 17 cm. Wide 4 cm. Thick 2 cm. On one side decorated with three men in a carpentersshop, with hammer, saw and axe. On the other side above the symbols of friendship, hope, faith and love. And the date 1901. Under it two hearts and two kissing pigeons, and below two pigeons under grapes with two youngsters. The decorations are of high quality. Probably the case was a wedding present to a carpenter. Zeeland, 1901.
