A handpainted tobacco-box. Size: 12,5 x 8,5 x 2 cm. With the Jan Roodenpoortstoren in Amsterdam. This magnificent 17th C. tower was demolished in 1829. What remains is a very wide bridge , the "torensluis" and the original dungeon. The box is in superb shape. In the underlayer of the paint the text "Jan Roodenpoortstoren" can be distinguished.
