A very small late 18th C. gunpowder barrel.

A very small barrel. Overall length 13 cm. Diameter 10 cm. Painted red with black iron bands. On top a hole closed with a cork. With a carrying chain. Mint condition. Most likely this barrel, filled with gunpowder, was used with small hand arms such as pistols and short rifles. Also in use in naval battles. Dutch, around 1800.
