A Sago Box. Long 44 cm. Wide 29 cm. High 24 cm. In front a painted guirlande with "SAGO". The box and its lid made from oakwood. Both in good condition. Sago originates from tropical area's and is derived from palmtrees. It is used to make puddings and soft drinks. This box was used in a Dutch nineteenth century grocery store.
