A nineteenth century sapwood imitation mahogany painted box from West Friesland with initials "F.G.S.".

A wooden box. Long 32 cm. Wide 18 cm. Deep 17 cm. Made of pine, the box is painted in imitation mahogany. On the sliding lid the owners initials : "F.G.S.". The box was made and used in the part of the province of North Holland called "West-Friesland" It is in good general condition.
