A painted box. High 16,5 cm. Wide 25,5 cm. Deep 16,5 cm. Constructed with wooden peg connections (see photo) Delicately painted with flowers all around. On the lid a landscape with a man and a horse and several houses. The paint made from herbal extracts provide an attractive patina. Inside an 18th C letter is pasted. The box has a well functioning lock with a key. The box is in mint condition, no repairs or restorations. Southern Germany, mid eightteenth century.
