An extremely rare large jug, with initials, a bird and dated 1786.

A large decorated jug. Overall height 35 cm. The glazed jug is decorated with owners initials "H.C.K." , the date "1786" and a bird resembling a stork. Most likely this jug was made in the nortern part of Limburg. It remains in excellent condition with only minor signs of use. It is an extremely rare and beautiful piece and an example of refined artistic 18th C. craftmanship.
