A boxwood rolling host press with 2 walnut handles. Overall length (without handles) 5 cm. Diameter 6 cm. The surface nicely carved with a cross, a heart, a candle , a lamb and "I.H.S.". By rolling the press over the dough, made from water and wheat, the host derived images from the press. Southern Germany, mid 19th century.
