A footstove with extensive decorations, made in Staphorst and dated 1897

A footstove made in Staphorst. Size: 25 x 20 x 20 cm. Oak with a decorated brass handle. The stove is very elaborately decorated with "Kerbschnitt" with different forms on each side, which is unusual. The typical red paint is derived from "meekrap". On the door the initials "J" and "B" and the date "1897". The stove undoubtedly was a wedding present. The floor has been strengthened.
