A seventeenth century hand forged iron candle stick.

An iron candlestick. Height 6,5 cm. Length of shaft 8 cm. This type of candlestick was used to provide light in a working space. A small hole was made in a wooden beam and the candlestick could be inserted. Clearly hand forged by a blacksmith. Low Countries, zeventeenth century.
