A shipswrights hollow plane made by Peter Duesing in Anholt.

A hollow plane. Base length 16 cm. The plane is in excellent condition. With an English iron, made by Sorby, probably on order of Duesing, hence on the back the mark "D 1". This type of plane was often used by shipbuilders for the construction of round wood. It is clearly marked "P.D." Peter Duesing in Anholt was predecessor of the Nooigedacht firm in Friesland.
