A sixteenth century pewter spoon with a mythical animal, possibly a lion.
(SOLD)
Ref.:
24125
A small pewter spoon. Overall length 13 cm. The spoon was found in an ancient excavation site in Middelburgh. Due to its age and the influence of salts in the earth, it retains a very attractive patina. A vague makers mark is also present. The mythical animal has a tail and carries a shield. The spoon is entirely intact and in mint condition. It was made before 1600.
