A painted oak box. Long app. 25 cm. Wide app. 15 cm. High app. 18 cm. Well made with a sliding lid above and a small drawer underneath. Painted dark red. This box was made around 1850 in the area around Hoorn, called "West-Friesland". It was meant to be used for small objects from the traditional dress. Mint condition.
