(SOLD)
Ref.:
23484
A small glass panel. Size 14 x 9,5 cm. In a lead frame. The soda-glass panel painted with cold enamel shows the backside of a man wearing an orange sash, with on his head an abundant bunch of orange feathers, in his hand an orange and on his hip a orange bottle. Clearly an "orangist", supporter of Hereditary Stadtholder William V (1748-1806). Orangists were fighting the "Patriots", supporters of the French. This extremely rare panel is in mint condition.
