An exceptional 18th C. fireplace rack with utensils.

A fireplace rack. Wide 38 cm. Made of wrought iron inlaid with brass. Elaborate decorations in the iron, also with the initials "J.C." and "D.P.". On the rack five utensils also decorated in the same manner with copper and brass hammered into the iron. The longest item is a blow-pipe of nearly 60 cm. We have never seen an item like this before. All items are in mint condition. The initials suggest that It was probably made as a wedding gift. Dutch mid-18th C.
