A snuffbox. Long 72 mm. Wide 40 mm. High 26 mm. Made of coquilla nut, the box is very delicately carved with a cross bearing Jezus. At the hinge on the left is a small defect. Otherwise the box is in mint condition and retains a wonderful patina. Made in Europe in the second half of the eightteenth century.
